Tell us a little bit about your business:
We are a boutique advertising agency in El Segundo with a focus on integrated marketing, interactive, and public relations for resorts, hotels, residential and health care. www.psmcommarts.com
What’s most rewarding about your work?
Doing something original that gets you excited, or inspires you, and helps our clients reach their business goals. There is no better feeling than sharing results with a client on creative solutions.
How did you choose the nonprofit organizations that you support?
I chose the LA25 Foundation for the Arts based on my personal and professional interest in the arts. I was one of those kids in art class that we try to help. Last year, we were able to raise over $60,000 to purchase all the the string instruments for El Segundo High Music Department and send every 3rd and 4th grader in Hermosa Beach to the Grammy Museum. Staying connected to the arts also helps my professional efforts by keeping the antennae up and staying open to new things.
Do you host events to help the public learn about important topics?
We support local artists by sponsoring gallery and PR events in our office. We recently featured a collection of several pieces from a local family of amazing artists, Dan McCaw, Danny McCaw, and Johnny McCaw. www.mccawcontemporary.com
How do the philanthropic efforts of your business make our community a better place?
Supporting the arts allows for more inspiration and communication in the community. The arts can bring people together, or separate us, but it always encourages discussion and ideas.
Do your clients influence your choice of causes to support?
Yes. We also support Interval House that provides comprehensive domestic violence services and lodging for women throughout Southern California.
What are the biggest benefits of making social responsibility a priority?
Being part of change in your community and making a difference where you live. Once you see the benefits of your actions, you'll be hooked.
