In 2017, The LA25 Foundation for the Arts will raise money to fund arts education programs for children throughout the South Bay with its annual live art auction ART310 on Sept. 29th, 2017 in the Lyric Building, El Segundo.

“We are excited to give back to a community we love. Our foundation has grown significantly over the last couple years in response to our successful art auction, ART310, and the ongoing need to support arts and education in our schools.”, says Lori Ford, Co-President of The LA25 Foundation for the Arts. “Our foundation will be accepting grant requests for arts education programs from local schools, educators and organizations interested in funding local arts and education programs.”

Over the years The LA25 Foundation has worked with local school districts to plan and fund arts education programs in Los Angeles with a focus on the South Bay.

In 2015, The LA25 Foundation for the Arts raised over $60,000 for South Bay music programs and school instruments. The foundation partnered with Dr. Ron McCurdy, USC Music Professor of Jazz and Grammy Board Member, to curate a series of musical concerts that culminated in a Grammy Museum field trip.

In 2014, the foundation sent over 1,400 South Bay students on docent led tours of the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art. Students had been learning about contemporary art in school and the LACMA trips were planned to share with them first hand who they were learning about. An award winning independent film documentary, Room 19, captures Tulita Elementary 3rd grade art teacher Julie Tamaschiro and her class learning about the possibilities of art and touring LACMA.
