ART310 Exceeds Fund Raising Goals for South Bay Music ProgramsAugust 01, 2016
The 2015 ART310 charity art auction by the LA25 Foundation for the Arts raised over $60,000 for local music programs and instruments. The live and silent art auction was held at The Point in El Segundo and included a collection of the best SoCal artists ranging from photographers, painters and mixed media.
The funds raised will go towards developing and supporting music programs throughout the South Bay. ART310 and the LA25 Foundation for the Arts partnered with Dr. Ron McCurdy, Grammy Committee member and professor of music at USC, to curate a music appreciation series for all 4th and 5th grade children in Hermosa Beach that includes 5 mini-concerts, each featuring a different musical genre performed by USC music students, which culminates in a student field trip to the Grammy Museum. Additional funds went to pay for all the string instruments at the El Segundo High Music Program.
